Oxfordshire Schemes (not Oxford City)

A grant to bridge the gap in rural transport, but needs some bright ideas,  Just wanted to share again in case anyone has any, I think especially to meet the needs of our non-drivers in the village.   Just sharing in case anyone has the time, energy and  inspiration.

The deadline for applications has been extended to Friday 13th October.  So we will need to get something together very quickly.

“The maximum grant award to a single organisation will be £50,000.”

What does the County Council want to fund?

The County Council wants to fund projects/schemes that benefit residents within Oxfordshire, but outside Oxford City (a separate grant scheme is available for this area).  The following list (not exhaustive) are the types of projects the Council will consider:

  • Help in meeting gaps in transport provision in the community.
  • Help to develop new or expanding current initiatives.
  • Projects that help improve access to community services or community activities.
  • Projects that mitigate the effects of climate change.

Other Considerations

  • Any grant applications must demonstrate that they benefit residents within Oxfordshire.
  • The level of grant funding previously received from the County Council may be taken into consideration when reaching a decision.
  • The sustainability of an organisation will be considered when reaching a decision.
  • The Council will consider applications fully and reserves the right to offer a lower amount of grant than that applied for.
  • Organisations will need to indicate how they are to continue once the grant funding has ended.
  • Conditions may be applied to the grant which will need to be agreed before any money is paid.
  • Copies of your audited accounts may be required during the period of the grant.
  • During the period of the grant funding reports will be required to assess progress and information contained within the reports may be used by the Council on its website.”
